Overview:A strange experiment in Hungarian film history was undertaken in Pápa in 1972. Ferenc Kardos and his brother István Kardos wanted to film a strange retelling of the 1848 revolution and freedom struggle with 17-18 year old students. They organized young people from Budapest and Pápa, who spent a month in a freedom that few people had at the time. We were there for the 50th anniversary of the film's premiere in 1973.
