Biography:Behrang Mortazavian, an Iranian filmmaker and writer, breaks the boundary between reality and fiction by playing with cinematic conventions and blending genres. His works often unfold through multiple equally central characters and explore themes such as deception, manipulation, failed relationships, and the fine line between horror and comedy. He holds a degree in dramatic literature from the Art University of Tehran and brings his background in playwriting and screenwriting into the structure of his films. His two most recent films, Method to My Madness and Loser Heroes, are experiments in hybrid genres and formal play. Influenced by Park Chan-wook, Sorrentino, and Haneke, he favors journeys of formal and narrative exploration over conclusive endings.
