Biography:Siamak Mardaneh Born on 9 September 1985 in Bandar Mahshahr, Khuzestan, Iran, Siamak Mardaneh is an Iranian assistant director, production planner, actor, and director. He was born into a military–medical family; his father served as an officer in the Iranian Navy and his mother worked as a nurse. During the Iran–Iraq War, his family moved from Abadan to Shahrak Jarahi (Shahid Chamran), where he spent his early childhood. After the passing of his father in 1995, the family relocated to Bandar Mahshahr. As a teenager, Mardaneh joined local theatre groups and began developing his acting skills. In 1999, through Hamid Farrokhnezhad, he appeared in the TV series “Aghoosh-haye Khali” directed by Vahid Nikkhah-Azad, marking his first significant on-screen experience. In the early 2000s, he gradually moved toward a professional career, initially studying Building/Construction at Shahid Chamran University in Ahvaz before switching to Civil Engineering at Azad University. Alongside his studies, he worked in production and logistics on major films such as “Duel”, “Good Night Commander”, and “Taj Mahal.” During university, he met Golshan Tahmasebi, whom he married in 2015. After graduation, he returned to Tehran and focused on assistant directing and production planning. The loss of his young wife in 2022 deeply affected him and shaped a new chapter in his personal and artistic life. His collaboration with Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian on the series “Zakhm Kari” (Mortal Wound)—particularly its later seasons—became a major turning point in his career. Although many viewers know him from his mid-2010s television work, his professional background extends to both acting and production. In 2016, he worked as assistant director and actor in “Arman Do” and soon after joined the anthology series “Better Days”, strengthening his position in TV productions. Working alongside respected artists such as Hamidreza Azarang, Marjaneh Golchin, Alireza Ostadi, Sahar Valadbeigi, Kazem Hajir-Azad, and Amir Reza Delavari broadened his understanding of performance and on-set dynamics. Over the years, Mardaneh established himself as a reliable assistant director and production planner, with credits including: “Rah-e Behesht,” “Mahramane Tehran,” “Ein Shin Ghaf,” “Katyusha,” “Beluga,” “23 People,” “Turquzabad,” “Major,” “Colonel Soraya,” “Better Days,” “Meydan-e Sorkh,” “Poost Shir,” and seasons 2–4 of “Zakhm Kari.” He has also built a modest acting résumé with appearances in films such as “Rah-e Behesht,” “Mahramane Tehran,” and “Zakhm Kari 2.” In 2025, he made his directorial debut with the drama series “Mahkoum” (Convicted), produced by Mohammadreza Mansouri with Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian as directing consultant. The series, released on platforms such as Filimo and Narengi, is a character-driven legal and crime drama expanding the narrative world of “Zakhm Kari” while standing as an independent story. He is the younger brother of Ali Mardaneh, a well-known actor and first assistant director. Known for his discipline, precise scheduling, calm set management, and professional communication with cast and crew, Siamak Mardaneh is regarded as a dependable collaborator whose work behind the camera plays an essential role in modern Iranian film and television.
