Biography:Being meticulously ignored by the BBC for over thirty years hasn't stopped Amanda from carving a writing career elsewhere. Whether it's turning her hand to co-writing an award-winning feature film (currently streaming on most platforms) or writing and producing award-winning shorts that tackle everything from cross-dressing, PTSD and murdering teddy bears, she's approached each task with vim and vigour. Who'd have thought low-budget erotica would have such a pull? Not that it stops there, she's recently written a series of monologues that have made their way on to the stage and online and is currently employed as the lead writer on a pre-school animation online series. Following in her father's footsteps, she's now going more down the comedy route, resulting in her work ranking highly in several comedy writing competitions. It's also taken her into the world of TikTok performing several stints as 'Karen', 'Debbie' et al while mentoring sessions at the Frog & Bucket Comedy Club in Manchester, have resulted in her first ever stand-up comedy performance. She's currently working on a satirical sitcom, a series of low-budget black comedies and a stage play.
